Apophis
WHAT IS APOPHIS?

Apophis is a platform that allows people to express, preserve, share, and defend their culture, identity, spirit, character,
and personality. Such elements are fundamental to humanity, allowing each of us to be individuals and
offer unique contributions to our communities.

Searching for “self” is an intensely internal process and a path we encourage.
As founders of Apophis, we believe it is our responsibility to steward the technology and knowledge endowed and to use it to pursue individual and collective introspection.
Ultimately, this project aims to help people discover, express, preserve, and affirm who they are.

The name Apophis comes from Egyptian mythology, after the deity of destruction and chaos. It instills a type of fear, further exemplified by the asteroid 99942 given the same name by scientists.
When discovered in December 2004, Apophis had a staggering 2.9% chance of crashing into Earth.
This impending catastrophic event served to remind us of our existential frailty.
By reclaiming the name “Apophis,” we hope to raise awareness in a fragmented world and draw people together to put aside their differences.

Apophis is not just a philosophical or spiritual pursuit. It also has a technological purpose.
Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) have become somewhat ubiquitous.
Apophis is repurposing these tools to create an inclusive platform that places human values at the forefront of technological discourse.

We believe the technology industry’s current market trajectory is a wake-up call, as much of it exploits vulnerable
communities and those needing it the most.
Apophis utilizes accessible and equitable perspectives, leading us down a more ethical path.

Apophis is not just a platform. It is a tool that encourages self-worth and contribution, allowing us to be seen and represented unconditionally.
